Tommy “Kriss” Ballard's passion for being outdoors, seeing new things, and meeting new people led him to a driving career at an early age—first at 7-Up/RC Cola, then FedEx Ground, then Texas-based Hope Concrete, and now Dolese, where he’s worked as a Concrete Delivery Professional in our Durant Batch Plant for the past 10 years. 

On April 1, we held our first-ever Mixer Truck Rodeo for twelve of our top Concrete Delivery Professionals.

May 7, 2024, marked a significant event for Dolese: for the first time, we loaded rail cars with limestone from our Big Canyon quarry and shipped them to Fort Worth Materials.

Rip rap has become a hot commodity in the North Texas market. Our Coleman Quarry is ramping up to serve that need. 

We have consistently supported many organizations that impact the health and well-being of those communities we serve, including the American Heart Association, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Infant Crisis Services, YWCA and the United Way. 

A new scale house currently under development at our Richards Spur Quarry will strengthen that heartbeat—with benefits for both our employees and customers.

In our business, we work diligently to ensure our equipment is running at an optimal level to create efficiency, produce material at a high volume and meet our customers’ needs.

The National Ready Mixed Concrete Association (NRMCA) recently named Dolese Bros. Co. Concrete Delivery Professional John Becker as a runner-up in its 2022 Ready Mixed Concrete Delivery Professional Driver of the Year Award.

The National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA) recently recognized Dolese Bros. Co. plants for achievements in safety during its Legislative & Policy Forum held Sept. 20 – 23, 2022.

Community improvement and stewardship include keeping the areas around our properties clean and litter-free. During April, traditionally known as “Earth Month,” we committed to two large trash clean-up projects.
